Atlanta Fashion Week has always believed that showcasing a designer should lead to more than visibility. Throug

h the ATLFW x Bloomingdale’s Retail Incubator, independent brands have an opportunity to move beyond the runway and introduce their products to customers within one of the country’s most recognized luxury retail environments.
Created in partnership with Bloomingdale’s, the Retail Incubator supports emerging and growth-stage brands across apparel, accessories, beauty and lifestyle. The program connects creative talent with real-world retail opportunities while helping participating designers strengthen their presentation, positioning and readiness for a larger consumer market.
Selected brands may receive the opportunity to present and sell their products through a curated, multi-month retail experience at Bloomingdale’s. Throughout the program, designers gain valuable insight into customer response, product performance, merchandising and the operational expectations of working within a major retail environment.
The incubator reflects ATLFW’s broader commitment to creating economic pathways for independent designers. While runway shows and fashion presentations remain meaningful tools for discovery and storytelling, sustainable growth also requires access to customers, retail relationships and opportunities to generate revenue.
Participating brands may receive:
A curated retail placement at Bloomingdale’s
Opportunities to introduce their products to new customers
Increased brand visibility through select ATLFW and partner communications
Retail-readiness guidance and onboarding support
Insight into product performance and customer engagement
Consideration for related events, activations and future opportunities
All applicants are reviewed based on product quality, brand identity, pricing, production capacity, market readiness and alignment with the program’s curatorial direction. Because successful retail placement requires preparation, selected designers may complete an onboarding process before their anticipated launch.
Program schedules, placement periods, participation requirements, commission structures, sales arrangements and other terms may vary by season, brand category and retail opportunity. Atlanta Fashion Week may receive a percentage of sales generated through the partnership. Complete financial and participation terms will be provided to selected brands before they formally confirm their participation.
The ATLFW x Bloomingdale’s Retail Incubator is more than a retail placement—it is a bridge between creative discovery and commercial opportunity. By connecting independent designers with an established retail institution, ATLFW is helping build a stronger pipeline for brands prepared to grow.
Designers and brands interested in future opportunities are encouraged to submit an application through the Atlanta Fashion Week website. Applications are accepted for apparel, accessories and beauty brands, with selections made according to upcoming program availability.
